Rockin’ Bacon

Get up tomorrow morning and cook some bacon! With this easy recipe, you just roast in the oven; no need to turn the slices while cooking. The brown sugar gives it such a wonderful flavor--your mouth will sing!

Rockin’ Bacon
Serves 8

16 slices thick cut bacon
½ cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with foil. Place bacon strips in one layer on the foil-lined cookie sheet. Roast bacon in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until it starts to brown. Lightly sprinkle brown sugar across all the strips and return to oven to bake until done, about 2 or 3 minutes. The bacon is ready when it’s crisp golden brown and sugar is bubbly. Remove from oven and drain on paper towels. Enjoy!

Chef note: Once you add the sugar to the bacon, it speeds up the caramelization process. In other words—watch your bacon closely because it can burn fast!
